What Brain Am I?

I took the creativity test found in the article Good at Math? Good At Science? What's Your Brain Type? My results were 56% left brain, 44% right brain. (Interestingly, the test was on a site for the Art Institute - which my younger son also looked at when searching for a cinematography program.) My most dominant left brain characteristic was "sequential processing". According to the description, activities that require sequential processing include spelling. I always won the school Spelling Bees, and to this day spelling errors in documents jump out at me. My most dominant right brain characteristic was "nonverbal processing." Basically, this means that I create mental images to help me process and understand information. The example given was that, if you were asked to give someone directions, you would begin by visualizing the correct route in your mind before you would start to speak. It is easier for me to show someone how to get somewhere than to tell them. I don't know route numbers or street names, but memorize locations and landmarks when I travel. My least dominant characteristic by far was "random processing" which is a right brain characteristic. I only scored 6% in this area. According to the description, I tend to not process data randomly, but prefer to follow a systematic, logical order from first to last. This makes sense, because random processing is the opposite of sequential processing, which was my highest rated characteristic. I always knew that I was a "balance of brains" - not really heavy on either type of learning style. I am a creative writer, love to sing, and enjoy just having time alone to think. I am also very organized and work sequentially on tasks. I use logic from the left and intuition from the right to hopefully sort things out and keep things moving at home and at school.
